Water Test Results and Water Quality Reports
The
Maine CDC Drinking Water Program is responsible for ensuring that public water
systems serve safe drinking water to their consumers through required water
testing and reporting these results through the Annual Water Quality Report also
known as the Annual Consumer Confidence Report.
The
Consumer Confidence Rule requires public water suppliers that serve the same
people year round (community water systems) to provide consumer confidence
reports (CCR) to their customers.
The Annual Consumer Confidence
Report of the Belfast Water District summarizes information regarding sources
used (i.e., rivers, lakes, reservoirs, or aquifers) any detected contaminants,
compliance and educational information.
